Air Clean has been working for many years on treatment of gaseous emissions produced by the municipal solid waste treatment processes.
Environmental problems, due to municipal solid waste treatment, are dust and odour emissions.
Dust removal is usually done by bag filters.
Odour removal is achieved by a chemical acid wash which remove’s ammonia, followed by a biological filtration stage for oxidation of organic and inorganic compounds.
Biolflters are available utilising traditional organic media biofilters (ex. woods chips, heather, mixed fibrous peat) as required for air bio- filtration.
Air Clean are the distributors of patented MónaFil® material, made from high quality peat (high density and Lignin content) with a controlled particle size. With this high quality engineered media it is possible to install deep bed biofilters up to 3 meters high (reduced footprint). These systems are characterized by a long media life and low pressure loss’s (low operating costs),and with high removal efficiency (plants are being installed to achieve 300 ou/m3 emissions starting from concentration input higher than 50.000 ou/m3 ).
